Scientific Nomenclature, within Global Scientific and Medical Publications, is seeking a summer intern with strong academic performance, excellent communications skills, and a passion for healthcare and technology. This opportunity will provide an exciting atmosphere to learn and contribute in a cross-divisional environment. Under the supervision of the Scientific Nomenclature Lead, the intern will complete specific projects pertaining to system maintenance, webpage creation, and management of data used in the drug development process.
The internship will provide hands-on work experience coupled with personal and professional development opportunities. A strong background in chemistry or biochemistry is desired. Experience with HTML, JAVA, Visual Basic, and R is highly beneficial, but not required.

Education Minimum Requirement:
Candidates must be currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, or pharmaceutical science
Required Experience and Skills:
Candidates must have completed at least one year of organic chemistry.
Candidates must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Candidates must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
Candidates must be detail oriented and able to work independently to drive tasks to completion
Candidates must be available for full-time employment for up to (12) weeks beginning in May or June of 2019.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
Candidates should have demonstrated education and/or experience with chemical nomenclature (IUPAC or CAS)
Candidates should have Computer programming skills (HTML, Java, Visual Basic), knowledge of Oracle databases

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
