JLL is seeking a?Reliability Engineer?to join our team! ?This position is with a major global pharmaceutical company and can be located in either Rahway, NJ, Boston, MA or North Wales, PA.
?This exciting opportunity, is responsible for providing reliability engineering support for operations and maintenance of buildings and utilities.? This includes defect elimination, Root Cause Analysis, developing and implementing methods for high equipment reliability/availability, cost effective maintenance, continuous improvement culture and applying maintenance strategies and predictive technologies in optimizing a system?s operational performance, life cycle cost, and payback.


  • Support all efforts in the execution of site level reliability excellence/maintenance programs and processes to effectively increase machine/facility system reliability and compliance.
  • Ensure that the appropriate Maintenance and Reliability metrics are in place throughout the site, (planned/unplanned work, planning/scheduling metrics, cost metrics, MTBF, replacement asset value, etc.).
  • Create and conduct Reliability studies, as well as understanding drawings and schematics.
  • Create risk mitigation strategies for critical assets that can be deployed across the asset portfolio.
  • Leads efforts to optimize work management processes.
  • Maintain complete and accurate records/plans within computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) related to equipment, specifications data, BOM, failure history, etc.
  • Equipment preventative maintenance (PM) task creation and management for continuous improvement and PM optimization.
  • Proven ability to read, comprehend and apply information from technical manuals and other reference materials
  • Identify and manage system of continuous improvement to ensure resolution to chronic ?bad actor? equipment.
  • Investigate new technologies for reliability improvements
  • Ensure equipment history is maintained and analyzed for future trends
  • Actively collaborate with Maintenance and Planning groups?
  • The understanding of moving and rotating equipment such as pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, etc., from an operations and maintenance perspective, mechanically and electrically
  • Leads and is responsible for the execution of reliability excellence/maintenance program. Writes and maintains reliability maintenance strategy documents.
  • Responsible for ranking the criticality of the assets under their care, typically using Reliability Centered Maintenance approaches, and for defining the proactive maintenance approaches that are cost-beneficial to the business.
  • Facilitates/supports operational event and equipment failure investigations to ensure that the root cause/causal factors have been identified, corrective actions prescribed, and follow-up monitoring conducted as applicable, to determine effectiveness.
  • Conducts program and system/equipment audits on a periodic and as needed basis. Audits will generally be focused on safety, regulatory compliance, maintenance effectiveness, cost savings, and energy conservation.
  • Supports commissioning activities for all upgrade, renovation, and construction projects which may include, but is not limited to, PM job plans, reviews for maintainability, critical spares, documentation, etc.
  • Develop and maintain ?Key Performance Indicators" of equipment reliability.


  • BS in an Engineering discipline or equivalent.
  • Experience in the Pharmaceutical industry is preferred.?
  • 3-5 years of related maintenance reliability engineering experience, project engineering, and/or training associated with pharmaceutical equipment and systems.
  • Experience w/ Root Cause Analysis, Equipment Criticality Ranking, PM/PdM optimization, Defect Elimination, and/or Failure Modes and Effects Analysis.
  • Experience w/ predictive maintenance technologies including, but not limited to, vibration analysis, oil analysis, infrared Thermography, ultra sound and motor current analysis.
  • SAP/Maximo/Corrigo/360 CMMS experience preferred.


  • Certified Reliability Leader or Certified Maintenance Reliability Professional is preferred.?

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
