Job Summary:
The Local Medical Director for Union/Middlesex Counties will maintain a responsibility for Union, Elizabeth, Cranford, Westfield, Plainfield, Linden, Rahway, Summit, Scotch Plains, Clark, Springfield, Roselle, Kenilworth, Berkeley Heights, Mountainside, New Providence, Roselle Park, Fanwood, Garwood, Hillside and Winfield in Union County. This role also maintains responsibility for Middlesex, Edison, New Brunswick, Woodbridge, Monroe Township, East Brunswick, Perth Amboy, Old Bridge, Piscataway, North Brunswick, Metuchen, South Plainfield, Sayreville, South Brunswick, Carteret, Highland Park, South River, Cranbury, South Amboy, Dunellen, Milltown, Spotswood, helmetta, Jamesburg, Princeton Meadows and Plansboro in Middlesex County. Engaging with the CIN providers in these locations to support the RWJBarnabas Health Partners achievement of accountable care aims of improving the health and health experience of value-based populations and reducing healthcare costs.
Essential Functions:

  • Ensures the local medical neighborhood providers are fully aware of the medical cost, quality improvement and other contracted terms of all RWJBarnabas Health Partners value-based agreements

  • Monitors the performance of the medical neighborhood on these contracted targets; identifies neighborhood variance as well as individual CIN provider variances and collaborates with the providers to reduce these variances

  • Reviews gaps in care information and ensures the medical neighborhood providers close these gaps in a timely fashion

  • Advocates for the medical neighborhood providers with RWJBarnabas Health Partners on ways in which the ACO/CIN can better support the CIN providers

  • Collaborates with the other Local Medical Directors and RWJBarnabas Health Partners leaders to optimize the overall CIN performance and to identify program and product enhancements to support this performance improvement and differentiate RWJBarnabas Health Partners in the provider and general community

  • Participates as requested by RWJBarnabas Health Partners in the Clinical Leadership Committees of the RWJBarnabas Health Care Board of Managers


Job Requirements:

  • MD in practice in the medical neighborhood (Essex County)

  • Participant in the RWJBarnabas Health Partners CIN

  • Ability to represent all CIN providers in the medical neighborhood within RWJBarnabas Health Partners

  • Track record of effective population health management

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
