2019 MRL Modeling and Informatics Intern

The Modeling and
Informatics Department is seeking interns interested in participating in
Molecular Modeling and ChemInformatics research, either as an independent
project or as part of a drug discovery team.
The student will learn how to employ data, models, and methods to
drive hypothesis-driven drug discovery and will be exposed to many areas of
research relevant to the drug discovery and development process. Potential involvement in a scientific
publication may occur as a result of this research.
We are seeking
candidates with excellent academic performance, communication skills,
teamwork, and the ability to work in a multi-functional environment. A strong science background in chemistry,
biochemistry, biophysics, informatics, computer science, or applied
mathematics is essential. Applicants
with previous research experience are highly preferred. Computer programming skills are also a
significant plus but not required.
This is a full- time internship position.
Housing subsidy is not available as part of this program and must be funded
100% by the student.
Education:
+ Required: Candidates must be currentlypursuing a minimum of a bachelor?s degree in chemistry, biochemistry,biophysics, informatics, computer science, or applied mathematics.
RequiredExperience and Skills:
+ Candidates must be available to workfull-time for up to (12) consecutive weeks beginning in May or June of2019.
+ Candidates must have interest or experience inresearch areas relevant to the drug discovery process
PreferredExperience and Skills:
+ Candidates should have previous researchexperience.
+ Candidates should have computer programmingskills.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
