Merck Research Labs is currently recruiting for (2)graduate-level summer interns within the Center for Observational & Real-WorldEvidence (CORE) department . ¬ 



The position will entail supporting several observationalresearch projects in support of reimbursement activities. It requires projectmanagement and basic epidemiological skills. This includes understandingepidemiology concepts and methodology, research skills, managingtimelines/tracking deliverables and facilitating meetings. In addition, ad-hocrequests such as literature reviews, participating in process improvementinitiatives and shadowing a current study manager may be included.



At the conclusion of the term, the intern will shareresults and recommended actions as a final project presentation.



Applicants should have a career interest in supportingobservational research, project/budget management and learning how to executestudies/initiatives. They should have the ability to develop timelines, followup, communicate updates and results, and recommend the best practices. This is a full-time internship position. Housing subsidy is not available as part of this program and must be funded 100% by the student.



Qualifications


Education:


  • Required: Candidates must be currently pursuing a minimum of a master's degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.

  • Candidates must have completed at least (1) year of graduate study by June of 2019.


RequiredExperience and Skills:



  • Candidates must be available to work full-time for up to (12) consecutive weeks beginning in May or June of 2019.

  • Candidates must have strong communication and organizational skills.

  • Candidates must have a basic knowledge of epidemiologic or outcomes research.

  • Candidates must have strong project management skills.

  • Candidates must be detail-oriented and driven, with demonstrated characteristics of a forward-thinker and self-motivator that thrives on new challenges and adapts to learning about new processes.¬ 


PreferredExperience and Skills:



  • Candidates should have exposure to clinical or observational research (1-2 years' related job experience, or equivalent experience).¬ 

  • Candidates should be highly organized, creative, and detail-oriented.

  • Candidatesshould have experience developing job aids / tools, training guides, and presentations.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
