$101K - $128K a year We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Purchasing Manager to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of purchasing for our construction projects.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in multi-family construction and possess exceptional organizational, analytical, and negotiation skills.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement effective purchasing strategies for our multi-family construction projects.
Identify, evaluate, and select reliable vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
Maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
Monitor market trends, pricing, and availability of construction materials, and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly.
Collaborate with our regionals, estimators and site managers to understand project requirements and ensure timely procurement of materials Develop and manage project budgets in collaboration with senior management and onsite team Monitor and control project costs throughout the construction process, identifying and addressing potential budget overruns.
Prepare and present accurate and timely reports on project costs, variances, and financial performance to senior management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in Purchasing with multi-family construction projects Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry best practices for multi-family developments.
Proficiency in estimating software's and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite and Procore.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in estimating and cost analysis.
Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
