The Project Estimator is a key position in Global Estimating and Control (E&C) whose mandate is to provide effective and innovative cost and schedule solutions to our business partners to maximize value and for our teams to ensure successful project execution.
The successful candidate will provide technical support for planning and estimating capital projects, from feasibility studies and FEL (front end loading) through execution and start-up.
The Estimator must have strong skills in the areas of estimating, planning, and benchmarking.
The position supports multiple projects that range from less than $5MM to over $150MM total installed cost (TIC).
Preferred - Primary Skills/
Qualifications:
oLead estimating effort for capital and expense projects and studies, working with multi-discipline project teams.
oDevelop estimating deliverables including basis of estimate, cost bridge, and GES staffing plan for each FEL stage gate to support review with global engineering solutions (GES) leadership team.
oReview and validate trade partner estimates.
oTrend project costs, such as implementing Target Value Delivery, on projects in FEL2 (concept) and FEL3 (basis of design).
oGather and validate estimate information from multiple groups both within and outside the company.
oPrepare Total Installed Cost (TIC) estimates, including conceptual schedules and staffing plans, for concept and siting studies.
oSupport project benchmarking efforts, both internally and through external relationships.
oLead and document outcomes for estimate risk analysis sessions for FEL2 and FEL3.
oIn collaboration with the GES Estimating & Control group, set up project budgets per a standard work breakdown structure (WBS), and assist in developing contractor bid package cost tabulations.
oSupport maintenance of the department cost database, estimate assemblies, and parametric models.
oIn collaboration with the Procurement group, evaluate current market conditions.
oSupport preparation of project return cost data and close-out reports.

Target Value Delivery and Last Planner , Takt planning)oKnowledge of Estimating and Information Management systemsoStrategic planning or portfolio management experienceoLean/Six Sigma experience, change management expertise.
oKnowledge of Architectural/Engineering (AE), contract manufacturer (CM) and Professional Service providers estimating means and methodsDesired - Experience and Education:
oBachelor's degree (Engineering discipline preferred)oEquivalent experience could be acceptable.

oAbility to work remotely without extensive oversight and deliver on the requirements of the role.
oExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to interface effectively with all levels in the organization and proven leadership demonstrated over multiple assignments.
oStrong knowledge of estimating, capital management and financial processesoBroad knowledge of the biopharmaceutical industry across multiple project types (drug substance, drug product, lab, large molecule, small molecule, etc.
) and all lines of business (R&D, Human Health, Animal Health).
oRole based primarily in northeast US; ability to travel across job sites (West Point, PA & Rahway, NJ) up to 10% of their time if necessary.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
